MANAGING PROFESSIONAL TRANSITION

The ITIL4 Managing Professional Transition module (ITIL 4 MPT) is designed to allow ITIL Experts or ITIL v3 candidates who have already invested to easily transition across to ITIL 4. They can gain the designation of ITIL 4 Managing Professional via one course and one exam.

This ITIL 4 Managing Professional has been developed for IT practitioners working within technology and digital teams across organizations. It provides practical and technical guidance on how to create, deliver and support successful IT-enabled services, teams, and workflows.

The Transition module recognizes the candidate’s existing achievements and allows them to gain the up-to-date skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital service economy.

A review of the SVS model and its components: the service value chain, seven guiding principles, four business dimensions, governance, continual improvement, and a review of ITIL 4’s 34 practices, which are grouped into three operational streams (general management, service management, and technical management)
  3. Key concepts and teachings from the three ITIL 4 advanced IT Specialist courses: Create, Deliver & Support; Drive Stakeholder Value; High Velocity IT
  4. Key concepts and teachings from the ITIL Strategist advanced book and course – “Direct, Plan & Improve”
  5. A review and ample discussion of the examinable agenda items, at the end of each module
  6. Practice exams and ample opportunity to reinforce the key concepts needed for the exam

IT practitioners working within technology and digital teams across businesses

  • The candidate must have the ITIL Expert certification or have 17 credits under the ITIL Credit scheme.
  • In addition, the candidate must have attended an accredited training course for this module (the recommended duration for this training is 30 hours including the examination).

Type: Forty (40) multiple choice carrying 1 mark each.

Duration: 90 minutes. Candidates sitting the examination in a language other than their native language have 25% extra time

Why there is No ITIL 4 Foundation transition module?

There will not be a transition module at the Foundation level. There is a large amount of new material in the ITIL 4 Foundation therefore a single exam is required to assess end-learners knowledge of the new ITIL 4 Foundation guidance.

When can I take the Certification Exam?

ITIL 4 Foundation exams will be live from 28 Feb 2019.

Is ITIL Foundation Training Mandatory to take Exam?

AXELOS has not mandated training for ITIL Foundation, however we encourage candidates to partake in training to fully understand the new material.

Is my existing ITIL Foundation certificate is still valid?

Your existing ITIL Foundation certificate will be Lifelong valid
